JESSICA LONG

Jessica Long is a U.S. Paralympic swimmer who holds several world records and has won several gold medals at four Paralympic Summer Games. She had her lower legs amputated at the age of 18 months due to a disease called fibular hemimelia.

Jessica broke 18 world records in 2006. She has been involved in many sports but her favourite sport was swimming.
She is very lucky because she has had her disability since she was a child so she has not suffered too much depression. She lives with her disability as if it were a normal life. This athlete is very passionate about swimming.

Jessica long is exceptional because she inspires me a lot, when I saw her, I told myself that we should not give up despite the circumstances because she says: “dream big, aim high, never give up” This athlete impressed me because despite her disability, she succeeded in her life as a warrior by overcoming problems, difficulties and obstacles.

Athletes with disabilities prove their abilities to others and get messages across through their efforts.
